USING THE LOG STOVE
To light the stove, scrunch 4/5 sheets of newspaper around a couple of firelighters and place in a pile in the centre of the stove. Place a good handful of kindling in a tent shape over the newspaper, then add two small logs, again in a tent shape, leaving air space between the kindling and logs. Light the fire, close the doors and open the side vents. Once the fire is established, add two scoops of chimney cleaner to keep the flue safe.
· Only burn paper or the wood provided – nothing else
· Burn with the doors closed
· Always use the fireguard
· Only burn two logs at a time, please.
· Don’t allow the fire to smoulder as this causes dangerous tar to build up in our chimney. Move the logs together, then use the bellows to spark a new flame.
· Leave us to dispose of the ashes safely.
